Desk Space - 2015

Sunday, 5 July 2015

Hola!
Gerry here! I thought I would make a blog post on my deskspace. I love looking at where other people spend most of their time, and I hope you like this post. I feel like a desk is a reflection on the person. As you can probably tell from this post Iam extremely proud of my desk space, as I put alot of effort into designing it. If I could have it my way I would have everything from Ikea, I bloody love Ikea (my bank account not so much). I would flip if Ikea sponsored me, *hint*hint*cough*cough.

Ikea = life

Something that I would like to change about my deskspace is the the actual desk.  Despite being a lovely white it is too small! I can only manage to fit my laptop on it, this kills me. I guess it's due to how much stuff on my desk. One of my favourite things on my desk is the artwork that my friend gave to me as a gift, well I kind of begged her for it. She's extremely talented at doing typography and I have some more of her work around my room.

Above my desk are some polaroids of my friends. On the right side of my desk I have my sucluant and lucky cat. I absolutely love cats! I had so many cat figures on my desk but I had to minimize this because it was getting out of hand.

In regards to the Mother Mary picture I am actually Catholic but not very religious. It isn't there for religious purposes but as a memorial of my grandmother, because it came from her house. I also think its quite beautiful.

I love adding little things to my desk, such as the stickers. It feels more like mine.
My best-friend went to India and brought me back a mini Taj Mahal. It broke but I still keep it on my desk. I also have a card she sent me from India that has the Taj Mahal on it. LOOK ITS MY LUCKY CAT. I can't have a cat so he'll just have to do.

I definately reccomend anyone to buy Rookie Yearbook Three. It provides alot of useful articles for teenage girls growing up.

PS. Hi, Tessa!

THAT RANDOM BEACH

Sunday, 28 December 2014

 Hola!
How are are you all?
How has your holidays been? If good, that's fantastic! If not, why so? I would be happy to listen and talk.
Anyways, as a result of my family being Spanish it means that we celebrate Christmas on the 24th at exactly 12am. Although, aside from that minor change our Christmas celebrations was spent exactly the same as everyone else. Once after our celebrations were finished we spent the 25th travelling to a certain beach. However once we reached this beach, sorry I don't remember the name of the place, we were greeted by a pile up of cars because the beach was full! So we travelled even further to find another beach, I think it started with a "g" or something. I'm really glad that we did because this beach was so nice. I went rock climbing, which almost led to a very painful fall.

I really don't have any more to blog about so, I hope you are having a good holidays.

LOL so random

SUNDAY FUNDAY

Friday, 12 December 2014

Hola!
So here are some of the pictures I took on my family funday to the beach. Although this isn't just any beach it was Bondi beach, the most popular beach in Australia. To get her I finally convinced my mum to drive their, usually she doesn't like to drive anywhere far because she gets tired and scared she doesn't know the way, so it was really exciting when she finally agreed to drive to Bondi. Only downside was that I had to pay for parking, which might I add pretty darn expensive...

Despite being such a popular beach I'm pretty sure I only have ever gone to Bondi twice in my lifetime. And, if I have gone more I don't have any recollection of it. So I explored every nook and cranny of this place I knew from then on Bondi is where I want to die, well that sounds very morbid. What I mean is I really want to become one of the locals of this beautiful area, although to live in Bondi its hella expensive so hopefully I'll either:

A) Get a super rich husband
B) Win the lottery
-or-
C) Get a hella good job that I love and pays fab-tastically

I have always wanted to live next the beach. It would be so amazing to wake up every morning to the beauty of the sea side with the sun arising over in the horizon, hasadjjsaikldjoaslk so amazing. I really  want to make this dream come true.
Srsly so beautiful

Bondi has literally the cutest houses

I really want to do more exploring and adventuring. Hopefully this weekend we go and have more fun. I urge you to go out and do some adventuring to!

MEMORY LANE

Friday, 5 December 2014

I really love this photo.

I was "given" this map from school. And, it now hangs proudly in my study.

This was a mural at the aquarium, really quite beautiful.

This wall was the bomb. Its actually the toilet door of the Metro, a convention centre which hosts concerts.

I love watching the sunset. It is just so calming

Manly beach

This man at the park was randomly blowing bubbles, like hundreds it was soooooo cool

Amazing pastries again, they just look so delectable

The time we trekked all the way to Manly beach to get this photo.

I absolutely love flowers they are all just so beautiful in their own individual way, I know that is so cheesy but seriously you can't deny how beautiful they are!

Books from an old book shop, this place felt really nice.

The time we waited for hours to see Bombay Bicycle Club. Was quite an amazing experience despite me no knowing any of their songs. My best friend just sprung it on me that she bought me tickets, because she couldn't go on her own, and we were going and that was it!

Lovely flowers and fresh produce from the markets

We went to a market and they were selling hand made crop tops wish i had brought one!

A hidden jewel of a cafe

Vegetarian breakfast. It was divine

My friend enjoying a pastry in a lovely cafe

Hola!
So I decided it would be appropriate to upload all of my photos from my last school break, because very soon my final school holidays, that I will be able to use to relax before my HSC, will arrive. And, so I thought it would be nice just to reflect on all of my previous adventures. Quite honestly this has just gotten me so excited for all of the new adventures that will pop up. I also really just love taking photos and having the ability to capture a moment and then later on be able to look back and remember all the feels I felt in that moment and all the thoughts that were escaping my mind.

Lately with all of my exams I hadn't had much time to go out and have fun. But, I really want to change that this upcoming holidays.

Okay
So the guidelines I will follow this upcoming holidays to ensure I have the best christmas break are:
1) Don't spend too much time working
I would work most of my holidays as all I would think of is money. But, as the years have gone by I have realised that money isn't everything and that I would much rather be spending my time with friends watching the sunset, running down hills (more like tumbling down), watching christmas movies or even just watching the clouds go by than ear $12 an hour.
2)Invest in memories not clothes
I mean yeah if I really want something I'll get it but I won't bother spending my whole pay check on clothes or shoe shopping.
3)Make time for family
So like my first point I would spend mostly all of my time at work and never anytime with family which not only made me sad but my mum. SO this holidays I aiming to spend as much time as humanly possibly with my family, and of course friends.

Well, this is all I can think of to write right now so I guess I'm either going to do the following: read Girl Online, watch American Horror story or maybe go to bed.

PS. I got 19.5/25 for my modern history exam! Better than expected.

SANCISCO | RUN TOUR

Wednesday, 3 December 2014

Managed to get front row in the mosh-pit at the Sancisco concert!
And, let me tell you it was so terribly squishy. It was probably the worst mosh-pit I have ever been in, and thats saying something since I've been in quite a few.

Had to retreat to high ground the mosh was way too much!
They were fantastic live, although I wish the mosh was better controlled.
Bought a band-tee and hope to buy more. I think I'm going to make more of an effort to buy these sort of things when  I go to concerts.

Hola!

I finally have enough time to sit down and write this blog post! Most of my time has been spent studying for my exams, legal studies and pdhpe much fun. I studied so much, actually too much, and am now in need of a break so what better time to write a blog post, right?

Anyway, so last thursday I and my friend Tessa travelled to the city to see the magnificent Sancisco. I missed them last year but I am so happy I didn't miss them this time. Most of the time spent prior to the concert consisted of waiting in line, for three-ish hours. Major bore.

Finally when the time to come arrived we entered the metro, where the concert was hosted, and managed to get so close to the stage! Ugh the rest of the time was spent waiting while standing up ughghugh, lemme tell you it was not at all fun. By the time Sancisco came we were so tired of standing up in the mosh, so we only managed to stay for one song. Getting out of the mosh pit was incredibly difficult, at one point I had someone's elbow in my mouth, ew.

Although, with the help of some really nice people, who helped me push my way out of the mosh, I got out. The rest of the night was spent dancing too some cool tunes. I may note that my favourite songs Sancisco are Fred Astair, Beach and or Lyall. Btw bought this cool as heck band tee!
The this week has been a blur, but I'm excited for what life will have planned for me next.

PS. wish me luck with my exams.
